The Halcyon House occupies a prominent position within this imposing terrace, the oldest in Europe. On the slopes of the Calton Hill, following onto the Queens Park, we are situated in the eastern side of New Town, only ten minutes walk from Princess Street, the Scottish Parliament, St James Centre, Meadow Bank and Waverley Station. The airport is twenty minutes by taxi or bus. The Water of Leith and the Botanic Gardens are also nearby. The Omni Centre which includes a multi screen cinema and many restaurants are all within easy walking distance.

We are family run and do whatever we can to help guests enjoy their stay with us.

The Halcyon House has fourteen bedrooms, all en suite with tea/coffee, radio/intercom, central heating and a very large lounge with television and use of our very pleasant gardens.

We are well known for our fresh and wholesome food with any diet catered for (by prior arrangement).
